Where Heritage Meets High Luxury: Mumbai Welcomes the World of Fine Jewellery at IIJS Bharat Signature 2026

Mumbai: In a city synonymous with glamour and global ambition, IIJS Bharat Signature 2026 unfolds as an exclusive gathering of artistry, innovation, and international luxury. Hosted at the Mumbai Convention Hall, Goregaon, the prestigious showcase reaffirms India’s status as one of the world’s most influential centres for fine jewellery creation.

The 18th edition of the event reflects renewed confidence within the industry, as demand for exquisitely crafted jewellery remains robust despite fluctuating gold prices and evolving global dynamics. The show presents a curated environment where legacy craftsmanship is reimagined through contemporary design and modern luxury sensibilities.

At the inauguration, Arun Narayan, CEO of Tanishq, spoke about India’s deep-rooted jewellery traditions, shaped over thousands of years. He emphasized that true luxury is defined not by price alone, but by storytelling, emotional value, and enduring design—qualities that continue to resonate with consumers across generations.

Adding an international dimension, Neeraj Agrawal, India’s Ambassador to Mauritania, highlighted the growing global appetite for Indian jewellery. He noted that strategic trade alliances and India’s expanding footprint in emerging luxury markets are opening refined new avenues for global engagement.

Kirit Bhansali, Chairman of the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), observed that Indian jewellery is undergoing a sophisticated transformation, driven by design innovation, advanced technology, and global aesthetic trends. He stated that IIJS Bharat Signature has evolved into a premier international destination for luxury buyers seeking excellence, authenticity, and scale.

Sharing insights on the future of high-end retail, Shaunak Parikh, Vice Chairman, GJEPC, said that today’s luxury consumer values transparency, digital sophistication, and seamless supply chains. He added that the thoughtfully curated knowledge sessions at the show are designed to prepare jewellers for the next era of luxury commerce.

Organised by GJEPC, IIJS Bharat Signature 2026 is staged across two landmark venues — the Jio World Convention Centre, Bandra, and the Mumbai Convention Hall, Goregaon — spanning a refined exhibition footprint of 1.25 lakh square metres.

With over 25,000 elite trade visitors from 800+ cities and 60 countries, alongside 12 international delegations, the five-day showcase stands as a powerful statement of India’s growing influence in the global luxury jewellery landscape.
