Rahul Gandhi Meets Tribal Students in Nashik, Says Education Is Every Student’s Right

Nashik : Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday met a delegation of tribal students in Nashik, Maharashtra, and raised concerns over the difficulties faced by students from marginalised communities.

The delegation included tribal students who were observing a hunger strike over their demands. Gandhi listened to their concerns and discussed issues related to their education and the facilities available to them.

Following the meeting, Gandhi said that education is not a privilege but a fundamental right of every student in India. He stressed that students from marginalised communities should receive proper support from the system.

Gandhi also emphasised the need for students to have a safe, respectful and conducive environment for education. He said that the concerns and demands raised by the students needed to be addressed seriously.

During his visit to Nashik, Gandhi also interacted with Maharashtra Congress leaders and discussed organisational issues and matters concerning people in the state.

The visit comes as the Congress continues to engage with students, youth and marginalised communities over issues concerning education, employment and social welfare.
