New Delhi : Delhi Police on Thursday held an inter-state coordination me

eting at the Delhi Police Headquarters as part of preparations for the upcoming BRICS Summit scheduled to be held in the national capital from September 11 to 13.

The meeting focused on strengthening coordination among law enforcement agencies and ensuring comprehensive security arrangements for the high-profile international event.

Senior police officials discussed intelligence inputs, border checking, traffic regulation and verification of suspicious elements. The movement of drones and other flying objects in open areas was also taken up during the discussions.

The BRICS Summit will bring several international leaders and delegations to New Delhi, prompting security agencies to intensify preparations across the national capital.

Delhi Police has also been coordinating with neighbouring states to ensure seamless security and movement arrangements during the summit.

The meeting is part of the wider security planning being undertaken ahead of the international gathering, with agencies focusing on coordination, intelligence sharing and effective traffic management.
