Jaipur’s Dev vrat Bhatt to Share the Screen with Yami Gautam
Mumbai. Jaipur’s young musician and singer Devvrat Bhatt, who comes from the city’s prestigious Bhatt musical lineage, is all set to make his presence felt on the big screen. In his upcoming film, Devvrat will be seen sharing the screen with National Award-winning actress Yami Gautam. His journey from the world of music to cinema is as unexpected as it is exciting.
A member of Jaipur’s rich musical heritage, Devvrat has dedicated most of his life to music. Although he developed a keen interest in acting during childhood, he never seriously pursued it as a career. Since 2020, his work interviewing and hosting podcasts with prominent television and Bollywood personalities gave him an opportunity to spend considerable time in front of the camera and understand artists and their craft more closely. It was during this journey that he realised that his childhood passion for acting was still very much alive.
“Since I started conducting interviews and podcasts with television and Bollywood artists in 2020, I gradually realised that my love for acting, which had been somewhere within me since childhood, was still there. However, I never imagined that I would actually become part of a feature film,” Devvrat says.
The opportunity came to him completely unexpectedly. He had neither made any special effort to enter acting nor planned a career in Bollywood. An unforeseen opportunity brought him directly into the world of cinema, alongside an acclaimed actress like Yami Gautam.
“Everything about this opportunity was completely unplanned and unexpected. I decided to embrace it as a beautiful opportunity and a new challenge. Working with Yami ji and the entire team was a wonderful and memorable experience. Her warmth, professionalism and dedication to her craft were truly inspiring. Being on set also gave me the opportunity to learn several nuances of acting,” Devvrat shares.
While music remains his first and strongest identity, Devvrat believes that there are no boundaries to creativity.
“I am, first and foremost, a musician, and music is my soul. But as an artist, it is important to explore new mediums as well. Acting has been a beautiful and unexpected experience for me, adding a completely new chapter to my creative journey,” he says.
From music and singing to interviews, podcasts and now acting, Devvrat Bhatt’s multidimensional artistic journey continues to evolve. His entry into cinema marks a special new chapter, and audiences will now be keen to see how Jaipur’s young talent makes his mark on the big screen alongside Yami Gautam.
