Yogi Adityanath Says UP Has Moved From Curfews and Riots to Development

Mathura : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday said the state has moved beyond an era of curfews, riots and instability and is now focusing on development, investment, employment and tourism.

Addressing the Panchayat Aaj Tak event in Mathura, Yogi said Uttar Pradesh has the resources and potential to become the country’s leading state. He highlighted the growth of tourism, agriculture, sugar mills and the MSME sector as key drivers of the state’s economy.

The Chief Minister said around 156 crore tourists visited Uttar Pradesh in 2025, while the Braj region attracted around 11 crore devotees and tourists. He described the integration of faith and the economy as an important part of the state’s development model.

Yogi also highlighted the government’s initiatives for farmers and claimed that the state’s agricultural growth rate has increased significantly. He said 122 sugar mills are currently operational in Uttar Pradesh and that substantial payments have been made to sugarcane farmers.

He said the government’s focus is to transform the state’s challenges into opportunities and create a stronger foundation for economic growth and employment.
